I went to see a beautiful house a few days ago (to buy) got the deeds (sec 32) and sent them to my solicitor only to find out that the house has a restraining order on it.. yip thats right, the house has a restraining order on it.. not a person the house. he he. My solicitor advised me to look into it further. after a little digging about i found out why!
Antonios Sajih Mokbel
The house was owned by Antonios Sajih Mokbel, one of Melbourne top underground gangsters his speciality is Drugs, Coke and Amphetamines, He was recently prosecuted for smuggling 2.9KG of pure Coke into australia. He was released on Bail but skiped the country to save his bacon, and quite rightly so, id do the same faced with 12 years in jail.
After finding this out i was a little scared to buy this house but as it was only a rental property i figured hed have no beef with me buying this house so i put an offer in pre auction at a price i thought was fare. Unfortunately the Vendor (seller) has not accepted my offer and has decided to go to auction. bit of a shit coz i can’t go to the auction on saturday as I have to work in the city. hhmm what to do. might get andy to bid on my behalf but he’s a bit scared. poor wee soul.
