House Hunting
Well it began today the tedium of hunting for a house to buy, here in melbourne its hard to know where to buy as there are so many suburbs with their own unique individuality and cultural appeal but i have settled on Brunswick / Brunswick East partly because of the price and partly coz its not too far from the city and that enables me to rent out a few rooms to cover the mortgage. also its prett yeasy to traverse between the city and home as PT (public transport) is very good up there.
Rose Street
Andy and I went house hunting saw a few dives in Northcote over priced mind you, $500,000 for A ratty taty old shit hole.. oh well northcote os out of the price range. We saw a House in Brunswick West that if it were a little more east and closer to the train or tram i woud have bought in a second but its wasnt so out the window it goes, we were on the way home and happened to see a sign for an open for inspection so we popped in, man what a winner of a house, amazing, fully renovated close to the train and tram offers over $395,000 nice, probbaly sell for $450,000 but well see next week at auction im keen to bid on this wee guy as its cool as fek nice garden plenty room for the greenhouse etc… he he.
So thats where i am, theres an auction on saturday for rose street and then a few other places im going to see on monday, just to get a feel for the area and the building. wont get to see inside but hey, ill know if i want it when i see it.
